83 documented fishing waters across 58 locations, available as structured data through the Water API.
The Netherlands is one of the most water-rich countries in Europe, with thousands of lakes, canals, rivers and estuaries spread across its provinces. The Water API maps these fishing waters with structured, machine-readable data — from the tidal deltas of Zeeland to the urban canals of Zuid-Holland.
Each water is catalogued with its type, location and surrounding facilities, making it straightforward to build fishing apps, trip planners or location services on top of reliable Dutch water data. The dataset is continuously expanded across every province.
